Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 17 September 2026

These terms apply whenever you book a valeting or detailing service with MobilePitStop, online, by phone or by message. Please read them before you book. Nothing in them affects your legal rights as a consumer.

  • A 10% deposit secures your booking. The balance is paid when the job is finished.
  • Change or cancel free of charge with more than 24 hours' notice.
  • As a consumer you also have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of booking (section 6).
  • We need a standard power socket and room to work. We bring our own water.

1. About us

MobilePitStop is a trading name of Gabriel Siemionek, a sole trader providing mobile car valeting and detailing. "We", "us" and "our" mean MobilePitStop. "You" means the person making the booking.

86a Wolverham Road, Ellesmere Port, CH65 5BY, United Kingdom

Email: mobilepitstopvalet@gmail.com

Phone / WhatsApp: 07592 196929

2. Our services and prices

  • We come to your home or workplace across Cheshire, Merseyside and Flintshire. Each service, and what it includes, is described on its page on our website.
  • We're not VAT registered, so no VAT is added: the price shown is the full price you pay. "From" prices depend on your vehicle's size, and some extras depend on its condition.
  • Vans, pick-ups, minibuses, motorhomes and other larger vehicles are priced by quote. We'll confirm the price before any work starts.
  • If, when we see your vehicle, it needs more work than you booked (for example heavy soiling, pet hair, mould or sand), we'll explain why and give you a price before we start. We never add work or charges without your agreement. If you'd rather not go ahead with the extra work, we'll do what you booked, as far as the vehicle's condition allows.

3. Booking

  • Your booking is confirmed, and our contract with you starts, when we send your booking confirmation by email.
  • Please give accurate details about your vehicle, its condition and the address, so we bring the right equipment and allow enough time.
  • Booking online: choose your service and any extras on our website, pick a date and time on our booking page, enter your details, tick the box confirming you've read these terms, and pay the deposit. You can check and correct your details before you pay. Bookings are made in English.
  • Your records: your booking details are saved in our booking system and sent to you in the confirmation email. These terms aren't stored separately for each booking, so please save or print this page.
  • If you book for a business rather than as a consumer, these terms still apply, except section 6, which only covers consumers.

4. Deposit, payment and discounts

  • Deposit: a 10% deposit is taken when you book, to secure your slot. It is taken off your final bill.
  • Balance: the rest is paid when the job is finished, by cash, card or bank transfer.
  • Business invoices: available on request, with the payment terms shown on the invoice.
  • Discount codes: one code per booking, entered when you book. Codes have no cash value and may have an expiry date or conditions shown with the offer.
  • Maintenance Plan: your plan code gives the plan rate for the vehicle and visit frequency we agreed with you. There's no contract or direct debit, and you can stop at any time. We may change or end the plan rates by telling you in advance. Any visit you've already booked keeps its price.

5. Changing or cancelling a booking

If you need to change or cancel

  • More than 24 hours' notice: no charge. We'll move your booking or refund your deposit. Just call, text or email us.
  • Less than 24 hours' notice, or we can't access the vehicle on the day: we'll always try to rebook you first. If that isn't possible and your 14-day cancellation period (section 6) has already ended, we may keep your deposit to cover the lost slot. If you're still within the 14 days, section 6 applies instead.
  • Repeated short-notice cancellations may mean we ask for full payment in advance for future bookings.

If we need to change or cancel

Illness, a vehicle breakdown or unsafe weather can occasionally stop us attending. We'll tell you as soon as we can and offer a new date, or a full refund of anything you've paid if you'd rather not rebook.

6. Your legal right to cancel (consumers)

When you book online, by phone or by message, the law gives you the right to cancel within 14 days without giving a reason. The 14 days start the day after we confirm your booking.

How to cancel

Tell us clearly that you want to cancel, by email to mobilepitstopvalet@gmail.com, by phone or message on 07592 196929, or by post to the address in section 1. You can use the cancellation form below, but you don't have to. It's enough to send your message before the 14 days end.

Your refund

We'll refund what you've paid, less any amount due for work already done (see below), within 14 days of hearing from you. We'll use the same payment method unless you agree otherwise, and there's no fee for this.

Appointments within the 14 days. Most bookings are for a date within 14 days. When you book one, you ask us to start the work before your cancellation period ends. You confirm this on the booking form or, if you book by phone or message, in writing (for example by text or WhatsApp) before we confirm the booking.

If you then cancel before we start, you get a full refund. If you cancel after we've started, you pay for the work already done, in proportion to the full price. Once the service has been fully completed, you can no longer cancel it.

Extra work agreed at your address

If you agree to extra or upgraded work while we're with you (for example adding machine polishing or a ceramic coating on the day), you have the same 14-day right to cancel that extra work. Before starting it, we'll give you the details, this cancellation information and a cancellation form, on paper or by text or email if you prefer. We'll ask you to confirm in writing that you want us to start straight away, then confirm what you've agreed. This doesn't apply if the extra work agreed on the day comes to £42 or less in total.

7. What we need from you

  • Access: the vehicle and keys available at the booked time, with enough space to work all the way around it. Please also make sure there's room to park our van nearby.
  • Power: a standard 13A household socket. We carry a 45m extension lead, so it doesn't need to be close.
  • Water: we bring our own, so no outside tap is needed.
  • Permission: if we're working somewhere other than your own driveway (for example a workplace, private car park or shared parking area), please make sure we're allowed to work there.
  • Personal items: remove valuables and personal belongings, empty the boot, and unclip child seats if you'd like underneath them cleaned. We're not responsible for items left in the vehicle, unless they're lost or damaged through our carelessness.
  • Tell us first: about any existing damage, repaired or resprayed paintwork, wraps or paint protection film, aftermarket parts, loose trim, or electrical or water-leak faults.
  • Safety: please keep children and pets away from our work area and equipment.

8. Weather

We work outdoors. Heavy rain, strong winds, freezing temperatures or extreme heat can make some work unsafe or affect the finish, especially machine polishing and ceramic coating, which need dry conditions and, ideally, some shelter. If so, we'll contact you to rebook at no cost to you.

9. Results and your vehicle's condition

  • Inspection: we check the vehicle before we start and may note or photograph existing damage. We'll point out anything important.
  • Realistic results: some marks can't be fully removed, such as deep scratches, stone chips, burns, dye transfer, worn or faded materials, and long-standing stains or odours. We'll tell you before we start if we don't expect a full result.
  • Machine polishing (paint enhancement): polishing removes a very thin layer of clear coat to reduce swirl marks and light scratches. It won't remove damage that goes through the clear coat. Paint that is thin, failing, or has been repaired or resprayed may react differently. We check the paint first and won't polish any area we believe is unsafe to polish.
  • Ceramic coating: the coating is designed to last around one year with correct aftercare, which we'll explain. It helps protect the paint and makes washing easier, but it doesn't stop stone chips, scratches, or etching from bird droppings or tree sap left on the paint. Automatic car washes and harsh chemicals will shorten its life.
  • Drying time: after steam, shampoo and extraction, seats and carpets can stay damp for several hours. Leave the windows slightly open where it's safe to do so.
  • Ozone and odour treatments: the vehicle must stay empty of people and animals during treatment and be aired out before use. We'll tell you when it's ready.

10. If something goes wrong

  • We carry out every job with reasonable care and skill. If you're not happy with the result, please tell us as soon as possible, ideally within 48 hours, with photos if you can.
  • We'll redo the work free of charge. If that isn't possible, or can't be done within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience to you, you're entitled to a price reduction, which may be a full refund.
  • We hold public liability and goods-in-custody insurance. Details are available on request.
  • We're responsible for loss or damage we cause by failing to use reasonable care and skill, where that loss was foreseeable when you booked.
  • We're not responsible for damage that existed before we started, or for faults caused by the vehicle's existing condition, previous repairs or aftermarket parts that we couldn't reasonably have known about. This doesn't apply if we were careless.
  • If you book for a business, we're not responsible for loss of profit, loss of business or other indirect losses.
  • Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.

11. Complaints

If you have a complaint, contact us using the details in section 1. We'll reply as quickly as we can and do our best to put things right. If we can't agree, you can get free, independent advice from Citizens Advice.

12. General

  • Your information: we use your personal information as described in our Privacy & Cookie Policy, including how we use photos of our work.
  • Changes to these terms: we may update these terms from time to time. The version on our website when you book is the one that applies to that booking.
  • If part of these terms can't be enforced: the rest still applies.
  • Law: these terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales, or in the courts of Scotland or Northern Ireland if you live there.

13. Cancellation form

You only need this if you want to cancel under section 6. Copy it into an email or letter, or just send us a message with the same details.
